Masuri OS2 vs Vision Series
« on: April 02, 2019, 09:21:22 AM »

Really confused on this one. Seen a lot of pros wear Masuri OS2's, when VS are the safer option. I wonder why? And if they don't need it, why would we? :)
What do you guys prefer and which is better?

all helmets have to be tested so all equally safe (in theory)

i would imagine the os2 is lighter than vision

i use vision series as i prefer the look and piece of mind with double bar, double shell etc..

Not exactly - all have to pass the minimum test standard.

Personal preference most likely - for example I've ordered an OS2 from @Six Sixes Cricket recently. Why OS2? Because I couldn't get my head in the Vision.

I've owned both and ended up keeping the OS2.
The sizing is strange (I was standard in the Vision Series but large in the OS2) but I found the shape of the OS2 just fitted my head better and more comfortably.

While the OS2 is lighter you don't actually notice the weight while wearing them (or I didn't, at least).

As for which one is better, that's down to personal preference. Go to a shop with stock of both and try them on and decide for yourself which is most comfortable.

Its down to head shapes to be honest. OS is lighter but its weird with head sizes. I have a 57cm head but its flat at the back and wide from the sides. So the small mens OS doesnt fit me at all while the standard mens is still tight from the sides, its very loose from the back. If i put in a thicker sponge at the back it gets better but the sides are still way too tight. Large size being too big for my head. The VS standard mens size however fits me perfectly at the tightest settings of the dial.

Anyone else noticed an eyeline grille on OS2 helmets? I’m sure I saw one of the Pakistani players with this configuration the other day too. I assume this is a player requested thing rather than a new option Masuri are offering

I’ve got a head like a Shetland pony and struggled to get a helmet to cover my chin. @KettonJake sorted me a medium helmet with a large grille to sort in an OS2 helmet
