I decided I wanted to try a B3 bat, so called into their factory in the Autumn, I was originally thinking of a DB2 shape, but was pointed towards this shape (CDX 1.1), which is a little fuller (very little concaving). So many shapes, in the showroom, to pick up and waft around, but Tom was able to narrow the possibles down very quickly, based on pick up preference, middle position etc etc.
Quick delivery -ready a week later, after choosing from several clefts. Long story short, the original bat suffered (storm?) damage during my first indoor net. B3 replaced it without hassle. This time I went for a long handle version. I chose from several 1 stripe and butterfly clefts. They noted I had packed out my handle beyond their standard thick oval and offered to match it as closely as possible. Busy time of year, I was expecting couple of weeks wait, but a week later, the postman arrived with a lovely package.

The handle was double wrapped (although I have added a little extra padding), the grains run beautifully straight through the toe.

It is now knocked in, just needs a scuff sheet and then its ready to use.
My first butterfly. I shall report back once it has been used in anger.
Great service from B3 and a real pleasure to be able to choose from such a wide range of shapes, then to pick the cleft, sticker colour and grip - a real bat fan's paradise.
Oh, 2'10.9lbs; c 60mm spine; 36mm edges, all delivered with a padded B3 bat cover, which was a pleasant surprise.
