Brilliant job!

I straight away thought of the M&H Original Low (i think) really iconic shape and the finish looks great aswell.

Now, remember to lead with the head.....

 :D Thanks mate.

Agree with above, looks like m&h low middle profile,
well done,
2.9lb low should be fine,
When are you planning next one?

Love the effort and the shape and the success. Wonderful work man.

Thanks mate. Appreciate the feedback.

Not sure yet, son hopefully. This one I'll keep but any more will have to be moved on to justify the expense probably, so not decided yet.

Now the decision of whether to sticker it or not. Thoughts? Is it possible to get some good quality ones in small numbers?

Thanks. Yeah it taps up well. Obviously wasn't pressed by me, just shaped. It was supplied ready pressed by John at Red Ink who obviously knows what he's doing, so it'll go well I'm sure.

There are some original phantom stickers on sale on eBay around £20
Think if you choose grade 3/4 willow, it should be cost effective and easier to sell at lower price

Looks fantastic!  These days if you want a bat without massive edges and concaving, it seems you have to make it yourself.

No pics of the face, but it looks like a pretty nice piece of willow.  Is it a 2 or 3?

Great job, especially for someone with 'no woodworking skills', and thanks for posting.  Every one of these 'first attempt' threads fires up my desire to have a go.
