GM Now what
« on: April 27, 2019, 02:56:39 PM »

Was wondering if anyone had any advice for prepping a GM bat that has GM Now. Does it require further knocking in, or just playing in.

On a side note thanks to @Tom for posting the Amazon finds - I brought the Neon original posted the other day.

Smash it with a hammer, use it with a soft ball in the nets and away you go.

I took mine into the indoor nets with bola machine for a hour then used it outside last week opening the batting. Seems fine to me

From my experience, i have knocked the edges and toe in for a further half hour and taken it to nets. Had about 5-6 nets and now im starting to feel it opening up. Still needs a few more until i feel comfortable taking it to a game

As a big fan of GM I must say they have massively improved from the off over the last few years. However I still net with mine against bola balls for a good 6/8 hours at least so I know it’s fully match ready. Mainly because I don’t have the time or patience to make all the noise with a mallet plus I really like getting used to feel of my new match bat
