Outside Edge

This season I am picking up my weaknesses one by one.

The latest in this series is finding the outside edge. There is something fundamentally wrong as I find the edge even when hitting balls during our close catching drills.

Is having bat face more open a good idea.

Get yourself a training bat and improve your timing when middling...the ball..

Looks like you are closing your bat face. Is your bottom hand grip too tight?

Check you back swing, is the bat going round in a circular motion or come straight down the line of the ball? Sounds like you are slicing across the ball.

I understand what you were saying Alan, but your phraseology got me thinking about how many bats actually have the makers name on these days.

It's for a different thread but it would be interesting to see how many brands do this
