Had a natter with the powers that be today.
Roy is a certainty for the ashes.
Also watch out for a Malan recall. Roooot and Trevor choosing between him and Ballance who can't stop making runs at the moment.

Thought Malan has a bit of a raw deal last time. Not too old to be given another chance.

He’s got 4 tons this year, balance 5 I think. Not sure what to make of Ballance, very good player indeed, maybe along with a lot of others recently- not quite good enough.

Balance cannot get another chance.

Yes he is churning out runs but he is not a test player, just a very good CC player.

Roy has to be in there just for the fear factor. If he gets going could be 150+ At lunch if he opens.

Archer has to play, as does leach unless it’s a green seamer with no chance of spin.

Malan is coming into some serious form and could do a job in the middle order if needed.

1. Roy
2. Sibley
3. Bairstow (WK)
4. Root (C)
5. Buttler
6. Stokes
7. Woakes
8. Curran
9. Leach
10. Archer
11. Anderson

Ideal line up with Broad and Ballance on drinks. Maybe a touch of Tom Curran on drinks as well as hes just had 7 weeks practice, the complete all rounder.

If they play on a wicket like lords yesterday, take out leach and add broad. No need for a spinner on that wicket
