Naming ideas
« on: June 25, 2019, 12:32:40 PM »

So I'm looking to get some stickers printed as mentioned previously and I'm trying to decide which way to go name wise. I'm obviously shaping the bats myself, so not just stickering up but not sure if I'd like my name or something different.  So simply, what is the preference?

Neither.

I will go with "Defiant".

Personally I’d get rid of the first letter of both words and just use the larger letter - would look way better imo

Prefer the Scott design

Thanks  for the feedback, but the options are just the above.

Thanks mate. Although I was just looking to see which name people preferred as the designs are just initial ideas, so will change.

Scott is the better choice for name IMO, Hundreds seems pretty generic. If you're making bespoke bats then your name provides a better identity.

I think the Big single letter on the front of the bat would work. The full name on the back. You will have to also have the letters running from top to bottom on the back of the bat. The lower back sticker could be as you have shown. The side stickers could be all of it in line.
if all that makes sense  :)

Hundred(s) is probably trademarked by the ECB and you won't have any chance in ranking search engine wise with the new tournament.

Good point Tom. Bloody ECB and their stupid competition!  :D Had this name in mind ages ago from a mates project,  so wasn't knicking it from them but see what you mean. This will be small scale stuff, but obviously worth considering.

I like the Scott design but I would consider removing some of the white block or having that printed in a translucent sticker. The plain rectangle looks a bit old school imo. Think of this seasons GM stickers - remove the excess!

Thanks mate. As stressed these aren't final logo designs and are just names to then work from for stickers. The white block is just the background to show the name/logo and isn't part of any design.

Use the Scott design, but make the ‘O’ into a cricket ball, or the ‘tt’ into wickets

Thanks mate. I did think about that but not sure if that would make it a little bit too 'cliche cricket logo' ish or not.

As I say these were just too show the name options rather than final logo designs

That S looks so good. I would love to see a bat that just has that S on the front sticker. It has a hypnotic feel to it.
