New balance cricket shoes
« on: June 30, 2019, 07:48:52 PM »

Evening all

My Adidas SL22 spikes are very close to being unusable. Seen some cheap NB spikes on PDC in size 7. Worn a 7 in ASICS and current SL22 are an 8 and a lose fit. Never had NB spikes or even trainers so is the sizing true or a touch tight??

I see Payntr have some on sale but reviews seem to be that they are pretty naff so think ill avoid them

I've found New Balance to come up a size small in all of their footwear

I'm usually a 10 but my trainers and spikes are NB and I had to go for an 11.

I will add my spikes are a couple of years old now so the newer models may be sized differently

Agree that New Balance are on the small side, particularly if you are comparing them to Adidas which in my experience come up bigger than other brands.

I would steer clear of Payntr.  They are up against competitiors  with decades of experience, huge budgets and a wealth of R&D and it shows.  The worst footwear I have tried since I had since a pair of Pony spikes I wore when I was 13

After many seasons of Asics, i decided to try another brand. I tried Adidas and Paynter and found the Adidas much more comfortable. Having said that, im going back to Asics for the upcoming season.

Carl Banks only wears Pony.

NB footwear in general I find about a half size small.  They are great though, especially like their trail runners.

Agreed, half a size up than usual would be my advice, quite a snug fit for me

As a little update I was driving past my local cricket specialist and had a spare 20 mins so thought I would look at new spikes. Tried on NB and found them really uncomfortable. However they had these Payntr V spikes and I must say fit me perfectly albeit in a size 9.

I am on my second pair of NB CK4040 bowling spikes and in my experience they run true to size. I wear US 11.5 in asics and NB trainers with 2E width. Adidas & Puma for me are too narrow in the toe box.

Those CK10's look different to what we currently have! look more like the sock collar that you see on Ultraboost or Payntr's

Hope they haven't changed them too much find my current pair of CK10's perfect!
