I'm not sure it's just a sweatband. I believe Ross broke his wrist a few years a go and it's actually a protective pad for the wrist, a sort of cut down forearm guard.

I think he means he's fashioned it himself. Looks like it could be a part of an arm guard under some tubagrip bandage even. Old thread on it here....

Rolling back the years now where I used Poron (before everyone jumped on the XRD bandwagon) they did a decent job though as a hybrid forearm/sweatband accessory and the pros seemed to like them (my mum less so having had her do the sewing!).

I’ve got a couple of hundred sweatbands still and I’d recommend looking at D3O as a material if you are seeking some form of protection.

I’ll check as I may have some sheets around from when doing R&D into the helmets.

Yeah, I’ve prob got some of that as well as we considered it when looking into the military market liner too. I’ll have a hunt around in the depths of my R&D materials boxes.
