My first ever fatality
« on: July 01, 2019, 09:47:59 PM »

My first ever willow fatality occurred over the weekend. Had a little net on Sunday morning with a couple of the lads and my GN ultimate from 2015 receive this fatal blow. RIP my good friend you lasted whilst many more where lost along the way. This was purchased from Vitas and was U.K. made and the demo bat from when the ultimate was first released into the classic range. Was my match bat for the 2015 season and has made at least 1 appearance a season and had about 1000 runs through her plus nets.

Are you sure it's fatal? Bit of super glue and sand paper, she'll be fine. Watch the Aldred video to see how...

Yea personally I reckon it’s knackered. I will of course clean it up and attempt to salvage for nets or I’ll break her and use the handle in a repair or of cuts for more serious repairs as plan on getting back into making and repairing bats over the winter

Not as many anymore, shame as always liked this one and seemed to be really pinging well just before it cracked.

@SOULMAN1012 can you send this to @JTtaylor145 please, just in case he gets the urge to take a saw to the nearest bat again? ;)

Not going to lie, this isn't what I was expecting when I clicked on the thread.   :D
I'm glad that you didn't cause any deaths.

:D I actually repaired a bat the other day that someone tried to ruin by taking the stickers off (poorly). I may have been trying to appease the bat gods. BatKarma
