Not looking like such a road when we are batting on it.
Hazlewood is such a good bowler...Roy, well let’s see if he can make a go of it but that was a cracking delivery.

It’s the moving ball that sorts out top order from middle order players and that’s nothing new over the years.

Could of been further forward @RPC/Blueroom Cricket - Adie yes if that’s what you mean but it cut back in beautifully

Decent ball that got Roy but he doesn't seem to play a solid forward defensive, he sort of pushes at the ball leaving a gap between bat and pad. I love him in ODI's but just don't think he can last against such a good attack, as his defence isn't good enough. Hope he proves me wrong. Root acts Burns were excellent all day, gritted it out when Cummins bowled a seriously good spell. Need to bat time tomorrow and not get rolled over cheaply.

Yes absolutely. Maybe the difference in the formats is Roy doesn’t need to play many defensive shots normally, so he it does not come naturally.

There’s a few like that, Bairstow is another who gets bowled way too much for a test player.one thing is for sure, decent bowling in the longer format finds you out.

But yes, lots of us want him to adjust..jury is out whether he can or not I think

Not behind the ball
Grand Canyon between bat and pad
Going hard st the ball
Playing way ahead of himself
Bald foot coming through (literally past his front foot it’s that bad)

Take your pick really

You forgot to add what an absolute shocker of a shot
True but hazelwood made the ball talk. He is such a good bowler.

Cracking delviery and set up from starc though.

One that went across. Then one that looked like it was Going to first slip before booming back in late.

Wasn’t many times our bowlers looked to get that much late swing.

Good ball but a poor, poor shot that he did time and time against last summer. Can we just have Foakes in the side?

We are getting cooked here with quality bowling and a bit of poor technique

We need rain  :)

YJB should be dropped for not learning if nothing else.

Also foot no balls need taken away from the on field umpires and on a goal line technologies style buzzer system. Cummins is bowling off about 15 yards here.

If he isn’t going to hit out now then what’s the point in picking a very aggressive number 7?
