I want to try some non Asian brands but within budget. I did not know where Kooks were made but like their shape. GM was first choice as they are cheaper compared to Kooks and you can get a deal on them sometime. I don't like GM thin toes.

You can get a good deal on a Keeley. Forum's "For Sale" section usually has some good deals.

I find Kooks ludicrously over priced given that they are now a sticker brand taking advantage of low manufacturing costs in India.

Given that choice it would be GM every time for me.  All the GM's I have used have been good bats and for an off-the-shelf offering, they show more innovation in their bat designs than many others

Got a chance to pop down to a local Ron Flower yesterday. Wanted to check GM diamond as I was so impressed with junior diamond. Unfortunately didn't have diamond in SH but had few Noir low end ones. O boy what a shape and pickup Noir has. If I buy GM I will go for 909 or higher. So need to save some dollar.

I have only seen Kahuna in flesh in regards to Kooks and it's bit heavy unless I managed to find SA one, don't like lite version.

Plot twist, my friend going to India and said he will try hand pick BAS bat from their factory. If he managed to find a gem then GM have to wait.
