Not still got the two light Hunts bats @Jaffa , especially the lovely Xero/ Aura hybrid???

No unfortunately. With a well known ex formite letting me down a teammate was without a bat. So instead of him being without I let him borrow the hybrid. I kind of knew I wasn't going to get it back. He was happy to pay the price I paid for it.

If anyone knows of a H4L meant for Matt Cole in Hattori colours, let me know. I doubt I'll ever get what a paid for but would like to know where it ended up.

One(1). A chase volante R4. Don’t know what grade it is(it’s got 10 grains), classified by a fellow formite for me as ‘probably 10-11 years old. Natty sky blue stickers.
Missed 2019 hoping to net with it before the year is out.

Bounced a ball on it seems fine to me, didn’t hit the ceiling but I’m happy  :)

Roll on 2020!

Here's the thing though. I have around 15 bats at the moment, some bought to refurb and sell on, but the only one I ever use in matches is the Mrf Grand edition. Whenever I try another bat in matches I get out really quickly.

e.g.  on Sunday I was on 10 when rain stopped play for 20 mins and we took tea. After tea, because of the wet pitch, I took out my net bat, which always seems to go great in the nets. But I started missing the ball and got out a couple of overs later. So how do you all use so many match bats? Surely one trusted bat is the way to go?

I'm thinking of getting a super low ceiling with the foam tiles just so I can hit it with a ping test ;-) I'm sure I'm doing them wrong!

Necessity dictates which bats make it to the matches. Some bats perform a lot better in the middle than others and are moved up in the hierarchy - like CA (SM) which is just a ridiculous trampoline! Not all bats, albeit amazing in nets, feel great in hands when playing a match. Feels matter. Distance a ball travels after rebound matters.

My main match bat (CA - SM) has seen nearly 7 seasons. It will eventually break. I have used my TK (Blitz shape) enough in matches that it is ready for action should my CA go to the bat heaven. That leaves two other TKs that I am preparing for match level. One came directly from TK and after some action in practice matches, I am convinced that that bat is ready to rock-and-roll - I have already cleared the rope with that one a few times so it is good to go. :D Ultimately, you want to focus on your batting and not equipment (or stress over equipment failure which could just ruin your weekend or next week. :D ).

I often wonder the same thing. What do you do with so many bats?

Put them in secret hiding places and pray they aren't discovered...

It's not that complicated is it? Beyond the favourite bat which gets league use only, the others need to be bats I can use. If I wouldn't consider using a bat in a proper game I'm likely to move it on. Retired match bats get kept around for indoor nets.
If your net or backup bat has a totally different balance then you're not helping yourself practise or if you have to change to it mid-innings - had to do that twice this year but since my spares are all bats I know I can time the ball with, it wasn't a problem.

@WalkingWicket37 I know I have previous but I have 4 bats now, I have 1 on my wish list and can assure that there will be no more other than that and that this will start the new season as my main match bat. This 2 GM’s going into 2nd and 3rd seasons respectively and my Keeley which is brand new.

What did I say @SOULMAN1012;) :D

Ill stand by the G&F being a match bat, in all seriousness when winter nets come round ill be asked by 2/3 people for a new bat for themselves as they know i always have a couple I’m willing to part with. I just do all the bargain hunting for everyone at my club lol
