I see on Facebook a Simon Ward was given a Cricket World Rigby Taylor 100 Club award at the weekend. I believe this may be your good self. Big congratulations on receiving that, fantastic. I see as part of the prize you got yourself a new GM bat, obviously photos are required as proof of that..... well done.

However i do get to go to GM to the factory and i get an engraved bat for winning a performance of the round thing.

Not good mate :(

Spoke to him a few days ago...

from what i gather He has shattered his cheek bone and it has trapped a nerve in his cheek. This is causing some numbness to his face and he is cheek is 4mm out of alignment. They are not sure if they are going to operate yet as it looks like its slowly healing its self as its now down to 2.8mm but if they dont part of his face will feel numb all the time.
Also the impact has damaged a mussel behind his eye that i think moves the size of your pupil his eye site is about 50% depending on the position of his head and how he moves his eye etc. He said if he leads foward and looks down its fine but as soon as he is upright he has blurred vision and cant see well. They are unsure if this will heal over time.

So at this moment it looks like the lad will never play cricket again :(

Wear a helmet guys!
