Recommendations on a new set of pads
« on: November 25, 2019, 09:21:53 AM »

Hi everyone,

Looking for a new set of pads for next season. Normal requirements:

* Lightweight (if possible)
* Non-Squeaky (if possible)
* Under £100 (becoming difficult)
* Don't stain with sweat after one net session.

Would be interested to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Many thanks

JT

Kookaburra ghost

I've got two pairs of kook pads and they're both outstanding

GN pads are the best in the business IMO

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Any pair in particular, Mike?

I've always found GN pads a bit bulky and very squeaky.

I've got a fresh drop due shortly inc some more of the all-white ones, never had an issue with squeaking or complaints about the weight either.

They are £94.99 inc delivery so within budget too...2020 prices will be kicking in on 1st Jan though!

Are you right handed, or do you bat the proper way? I’ll have a pair of good condition top of the range 2019 M&H pads for sale, and a pair of GM Original LE up for sale when I can be bothered to get around to creating a for sale thread.

Am keeping an eye on this thread as I need a pair for this season as well.

I have been looking at the ones at Pryzm Cricket do currently in their sale, yet to pull the wallet out though, has anyone had any experience of them?

Best pairs of pads. Iv ever used personally are any of these3

Kook players issue pads
GN.  Prestige - look superb and never found.  They squeak
Salix players pads —- just superb. But the price now is more than most my bats

I have Focus limited edition pads. Very comfortable and no squeaks. Mind you that's only pads I own. Costed me 40 in sale.

I've got some of their Exclusive Pro psds, very nice pads for the money in the sale. Think I paid about 50 quid when they had their 50% sale on.
