I got that Kippax originally from the factory in early 2018. Was a great bat, used it for about half a season and sold it on. It definitely looked a lot better before it had all that oil!

Yeah it's in need of a refurb that's for sure. It's a bit 'David Dickinson' at present

Oh nice! Although this is where brands selling their stickers to the public can be an issue. ‘A single season of use’ was the ad and of course has the new stickers. I’m not particularly bothered because I got it for a good price regardless but it just goes to show you have to be careful! It’s been well cared for and I will continue to look after it. As for the colouring, the light in that room isn’t the best so I don’t think it looks that bad. I’m in the middle of giving it a light refurb anyway.

Everyone knows you only get those new bat bonus runs for a couple of months!

I'm down to less than 10! :D The bat was nice just a bit heavy for me, I prefer a 2'9/10 bat so 2'12 was a bit much for me. Hope it goes well for you @Tom_90

Would love to know how so many people on here have managed to hide their bat buying habits from their significant others 😅 I got enough judgement for replacing my backup bat over Christmas.

Now that would be a good (and educational  :D) thread!

Unfortunately my other half knows enough about cricket to see through any excuse along those lines 😂

My other sees all of my cricket gear and says "ah, therapy".

Not sure if she thinks that having all the lovely gear is therapy or I should actually seek some.

I have had to pull out the "it's not a new bat, it's one I had last year that has been refurbed with new stickers" line a few times
