Middling Bat/Training Bat
« on: December 04, 2019, 06:52:56 PM »

I'm after a training/Middling bat, I've see some on here go for the same amount I'd actually spend on a match bat! it would mostly be used between me and the lad in the garden or Garage with a wind ball and maybe to warm up with in the nets so can't be a lollipop stick.

Anyone seen a reasonably priced one knocking about? (or does anyone fancy the challenge of making one??)

I just put on old bat on the table saw and cut it down, works a treat.
You could also do it with a very basic power saw, if you are on CBF surely you have a few old sticks lying around!

At one point last year I had about 4 "spares" sold one at nets, gave a super hunts county Insignia to my nephew who had gone on to smash runs for his school with, gave a bat to a guy at the club who had no kit. Gave another one away to a junior who was 6ft going to bat with a size 6. Didn't have to heart to ask for it back as he got a good score "sod it, keep it mate" type of booze filled moment.
