Keeley Superior Grade 1 cricket bat
« on: December 08, 2019, 07:04:37 PM »

Hi Guys. Its been a while since I posted a new purchase of a bat due to work and busy with the new season. I was able to source this stunning piece of willow from Cook & Mathews UK. The bat is really good but on the expensive side. However the rep at Cook & Mathews were very friendly and took their time in finding the right bat for me after writing emails and couple of telephone calls. Refer below specs and pictures.

Weight - 2.10
Edges - 38mm
Pickup - Medium
Ping - Good ping
Profile - Full profile, nil concaving and quiet a thick toe

Shouldn't need much knocking in, Keeley bats are pressed to use.

You’ve said that before Phil - uzi from Uzi sports told me that TK bet him that he wouldn’t need to knock his bat in and it wouldn’t break. In fact he said that he would pay uzi £100 if it did - thankfully for Tim it didn’t ha

I would still feel strange and worried about doing that

Pickup is good. Rare to see a Keeley this big in 2.10.

I mostly knock the edges/toe and use it in nets for throw downs until I feel its match ready.
