It’s going a bit wrong for the Kiwis, Australia 206-2. Marnus third consecutive hundred. Latham dropped Smith in the 20s. Ferguson on debut got a calf injury.

Labuschagne is unbelievable! He seem to be going from strength to strength really. I think it was a pretty even day 1.  New Zealand bowled well, with all bowlers bowling tight lines. It should be an interesting Day 2 if NZ manage to get Marnus out early.

It is very very hot out in Australia, Marnus' knock was exceptional.
Kiwi bowlers were down one too.
Going to be tough for both teams now.

Whether you're a fan or not of Matthew Wade you can't deny the bloke has stones. I saw coverage towards the close of play - Wagner hit Wade on at least 5/6 occasions. Didn't show any fear. Fronted up to go again.
