A hoard of CBF members descending on the place at once and clearing Dan's workshop of all the willow...

Thanks. Seems you're working up to it.

Small visit because I was there for less than 30 mins.

I am not convinced that an en mass cbf visit is entirely something many bat makers would want...!

Having been to Chase several times I wouldn't dream of going as part of a CBF trip. Dan doesn't deserve that... ;)

All I meant was that Chase seems be a current forum favourite.

Anyone giving away bats for £65 will be a forum favourite...

Seems to go that way on here, each year a brand seems to be forum favourite and then we hear nothing after a while. H4L seems to be best and most recent example. Can’t remember the last time someone did a review, made a visit etc but a year or so back it was all about H4L.

Having a couple of the chase R1 bats i must say if your not bothered about a bat being be biggest, best looking etc you will get a lovely bat for the money. Performance wise they seem very good from peoples comments so far.

Nail on the head.

The deal was a favourite, not necessarily the bat/brand.  Some people look to have scored some nice bats for sure, but as you'd expect not all are that level. I received one that's ok and just about the worth for which I paid.

Next to no interest in my Chase 2020 thread and yet the forum jumps on £65 bats and can still find something to complain about half the time... who would have guessed  :( :D

For some reason just not a popular brand on here in the main, Personally in think they have some of the best designed stickers in the business but the shapes on the promo material are a bit like Kook in that they all look pretty much the same.

As for people moaning thats just they way on here a lot of the time, causes good conversations in the main though but unless its 40mm edge, 2.8 with 25+ grains made from the Lords own G1+++++++++ PRIVATE Willow shipment most don’t comment or review. Just the way it is now mate

That last butterfly is 2-7 and a wand. The one above it... hummm

@Buzz managed to pick up that 2.7 butterfly cleft you shared a picture of from you last visit. That’s me now fully stocked bat wise now from Chase

Looks aside 65 is a bargain. Occasional amazon deals from ebay thread on GM bats are my other favourites.

I've taken a slightly different approach to Chase's bargain offerings... can't wait to get going on these.

Wow, that's the worst finishing I've ever seen. Check out the strand on bat polishing. 😂😂😂

How much did those set you back?

Won't stick the price on the forum as they don't publicly advertise it so not sure it's my place to, but it was a good but not astonishing price.

Now I am not saying I bought myself a Christmas present. But I may have found a 2-10 gun for myself...

A little update on this.
I took/used the bat at the Dummer net at the weekend.
Most people there looked on it with a little horror.. 😂😂😮😮

But there was a load of very flash willow on display.
@LEACHY48 didn't like the shape at all... and it wasn't as nice as Brucie's jumbo shaped beast or the Hosk's Kohli wand, but I like it, so raspberries to the lot of you

From a use perspective, it does have quite a low middle which isn't ideal at Dummer!

The ones I did middle felt great and the bat makes a lovely sound. I hit a slog sweep and a cut which really flew.

Higher up the bat there is a fair bit of vibration above the stain, I am not sure if this is because of the bounciness of the net, the grip (I am using a different type of grip for the first time in years) or, likely, just how the bat is.

When using the bat with the bowling machine, my son was feeding so it was just a case of trying to hit the ball as the little whotsit mixed some fast inswinging yorkers and bouncers and the rest of an assortment of not helpful feeding! #stumpseverywhere

One thing I have decided, I don't really like batting at Dummer...
