Long Handle / Short Blade Bats on the market
« on: December 29, 2019, 04:54:11 PM »

Having not played for a couple of years, I've kinda lost touch with the choices in this field.

Apart from some GM styles, who still offers the classic 'Joker' style long handle / slightly shorter blade set-up in the marketplace these days?

BB B4 is a cracking bat, not a huge amount shorter than a normal blade as far as I can tell but mine is far too good a bat for what I'm capable of.

I reckon most of us have got bats which more than pass this test!

@FattusCattus ate you after a slightly shorter blade or a full on brick on a stick?

Reviving this topic again, does anyone have experience with any of the above named bats other than the BB B4?

Also, is anyone aware if the Uzi Poseidon is a shorter blade/longer handle?

My first choice would be a CA, old shape or older model.

XP-80 is an Ok bat, not great because the toe region is completely dead - my other bats have some life 3 inches from the toe, XP-80 is just dead!

You can't go wrong with the Newbery Blitz shaped bats. I have a few and love them.

If you are feeling a little adventurous, you can try a size 6-3 configuration.
