Popped into Keeley on Saturday. Tim was there and the workshop/showroom was packed. Really great experience and came away with this 2 12, David Warner shape that absolutely flies and has a huge middle!!

Few specs:
Edge 40mm
Spine 65mm
Toe centre 26mm
Shoulder edge 16mm

Had a really great experience with Tim who kindly showed me around and shared many anecdotes about players he’s had in recently.

Looks beautiful but that is a very different shape to the Warner GN Kaboom I had

I could be getting confused but weren't the Warner GN Kabooms pre bat size rule change? Assuming this is the post rule change Warner shape or something similar.

Edges and Toe are larger on the Keeley so I dont think the rule has anything to do with it. Middle also looks slightly lower.

I don't think you had an actual Warner Kaboom in that case, maybe just the model, but not the actual replica? He used to use absolutely huge bats back when he was with GN from memory, and that was pre-gauge era, albeit with a small stretch between October 2017-sandpaper gate where he'll have used gauge compliant GN bats.

Gorgeous shape - not far off their Sehwag shape actually - they do make for a fair few players, so no surprise some use very similar profiles. Gotta dig mine out for a little photoshoot...

You might well be right, perhaps I just had the model.

I have just watched a GCCC video from 7 years ago and the players edition is very different to the bat I had. However it also looks very different to this bat - still has the large edges but much more concaving and it does look to have had a higher spine and middle.

Picked this one up the other week - used it Saturday...it has such a wonderful sound to it and great pickup. I shall enjoy using this one this season.

It sure does!

Has a totally different press to any keeley i have had before (I have had plenty!) firmer but a lovely snap to it. This was in a batch made for a Kent pro and was rejected so I dread to think how good the ones he took were! lol
