I think there must be more to it than just the 4mm diff and a slightly shorter blade. A quick guestimate from what I did was previously done at Mongoose would mean a 4mm thinner bat will save roughly 2-3% weight and a 2" shorter blade around 6%. Is the willow dried more? Are there some tricks in the willow, one guy mentioned swelling the willow then drying it?

  Don't start on the technical stuff...

If your asking why i may order another one straight away its just i like the bat a lot and once I've put it to the test then i will want a heavier version if my shoulders sorts its self out.

and i 'am asking to try one i net every day on a bowling machine so will formulate a opinion very quickly and as a kit enthusiast it would be good and may lead to many a sale.

Tom I saw that as well it was quite interesting....  I think, pretty sure   that isnt something that happens alot and is more of a consequence of bat making in warm climates on the pretext of putting mositure back into the willow! I believe blackcats are English made nowhere near willow cleft water tanks
