Scuff sheet roll & toe guards

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for rolls of scuff sheet? Looking for the clear stuff. I've obviously googled and found plenty, but always feel it's good to try and give business to people who fellow forum members use and support their business.

Also wondered what the toe guards are which are used by Laver & Wood and Rs Robinsons? Not a big toe guard fan but want to experiment with a few styles.

50m is a roll length which would be the idea scenario to save messing around with measuring and chopping off lengths.

On this note, I purchased a roll of fibre scuff on eBay.

Extremely disappointed when on first use discovered it doesn’t even stick to the edges without them piping straight back up again.

@jimmy23 I've been using a roll of this for a few years now and I rate it as some of the best fibre facing you can get!

Before you apply it it's best to give the face and edges of the bat a quick rub with some fine sandpaper to remove any residual glue, wax, oil or polish.
A hairdryer may also help it stick but I've never found that to be necessary

@Ayrtek Cricket do you have roll of scuff with back sheet? I prefer cutting them first and then applying them.

one of the reason could be that you have oiled your bat and it's not dry enough for the tape to stick on it. you could sand edges and the apply tape, that should work.

Yes that’s what this would be, 50m in length and 13cm wide so you can cut you own length off the roll as it comes with a backing to it.
