I don't see the hype about Trego. Slogging on a flat road at Taunton is totally different to facing high quality fast bowlers in International cricket. I don't think he'll be capable of slogging guys like Tait, Nannes, Johnson, Steyn, Bond etc.

interesting point but i dont think so, you see some test match pitches with bit in it for bowlers or that majorly crumble after a few days. Very few act as the somerset pitch does i think.

Trego must be doing something right, he has gone from county to club to minor county back to county to England Lions to the T20 squad. Not going to say he is a Test Match cricketer but he has got enough about him to hit a rapid 30/40 and bowl a few overs, not bad in the field either. Surely this is what the 6/7/8 in the side needs to be able to do.

Those outside of Somerset seem to forget that they do travel to foreign counties for away games. Wright has not performed the role well enough to be sure of his spot so up for grabs I feel.

Tbh, fast bowlers are probably easy to tonk in t20, the quicker it comes at you, the quicker it leaves. It doesn't even need a massive wack, just a little edge or flick and it can fly to the boundary. Medium pacers were there is less pace of the ball are probably more effective. I would have the quicks for the first overs and the first overs only.

well i think if tait bowl 100mph i think any batsmen would struggle to hit them for six, without going to the toilet in there box.

My team would be:
1.Craig Kieswetter
2.Joe Denly
3.Kevin Pietersen
4.Paul Collingwood (capt)
5.Eoin Morgan
6.Matt Prior
7.Graeme Swann
8.Stuart Broad
9.Tim Bresnan
10.James Anderson
11.Graham Onions

12. Jonathan Trott
13. Dimitri Mascarenhas
14. Adil Rashid
15. Luke Wright

I think bench covers all posibilities... perhaps Trott in for prior and move up to 3? And Rashid in for Bresnan if it's a spinners track. Then Wibblie Wobblie or Luke Wright in for one of the bowlers if their not bowling well so colly could have some overs and they would bring more depth in to the batting?
