IPL4 has 2 more teams - that's another 18 matches. Surely they will get a wicket sponsor, maybe a laughable as the Carbon Kamal Catch. The single most annoying advert was the one for itv.com/ipl that appeared in mid over, I think they stopped it when they kept missing balls!

That was a bit of a shocker on ITV's part. But ITV where trying not to show the Indian advert, which gets played every over.

IPL4 has nearly 100 matches, in 7 weeks. Mega over kill.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/apr/19/indian-premier-league-money-laundering-allegations

shock horror - money laundering allegations through a major sporting tournament... almost as bad as the Premier League football... cough... portsmouth... cough...Thaksin Shinawatra... cough...

terrible cough I've got this morning. Pretty sure Mr Modi isn't doing too badly personally out of the IPL and wont have received a single "perk" whilst running the IPL. cough... cough.

surely a "Cobra Beer" toilet break might be more apt...!

Surely Sharwood's Curry Sauce should sponsor the toliet breaks.

Apparently the're releasing a new 'Geoffrey Boycott curry sauce'. It still gives you the runs, it just takes twice as long

As annoying as the advertising may be in the ipl it is a fundamental factor in generating income for the teams and organisers as in many sporting events. Personally I have enjoyed having some cricket on tv while not much else has been happening in the tes arena.

I thought it was the Tendulkar curry source, giving you the runs for 20 years?
Actually - the Boycott source is better - leaving you in the corridor of uncertainty.

And liam you are right, of course, but the adverts are irritating...

there should also be Ganguly Lamb - an expensive spicy dish that is best served on it's own as it doesn't sit well with anything else.
