Tom just wondering are all of your sponsored players using the bats made from the same batmaker??

We have 3 batmakers CD0070 so no, some want them made in India and some want them made in the UK.

Think hes giving an inkling as to where Marty may source his willow from...but maybe me getting the wrong end of the bat (which sounds painful in itself!!)

Thanks Tom,

Who's standard does the bat have to met Mongoose (if its Mongoose how do you verify the bats from India) or the players? Meaning does the bat come to you first and than someone approves it to say this is good enough and sends it on to the players? Also what happens if the players don't like the bat approved?

I ask for 2 reasons, first just to know how it works.. 2nd if the scenario I mentioned about the player not liking the bat, what happens to that bat? Surely that bat must be better than the other Mongoose bats on the market, how can one get one of those bats?

Bats come to us, I sticker them and approve them then send them onto the players. If the players don't like the bats we have them back and use them for demo purposes or occasionally sell them.

These days though I know pretty much what all our sponsored players and players we supply bats to like.

I see many bats being sold as something they are not, but I happen to know its roots from rough cleft to Leo's new toy so what would you do? If I said it was just a bog standard bat I'd be lying, surely it is better to give some history to a bat when you sell it.

The real problem is knowing far more about people and the industry than you can print.....

Thanks Tom, would love to see one of the pro bats even if it was rejected if you have one around can you send me a few pics.. Which one of your players has the most demands on details of the bat or are they all pretty easy going?

With bats Azhar Mahmood is the pickiest, spent 2-3hrs just getting the handle shaped right. We also have a player who drew round his hands to get his gloves the right size.
