Bit of a rant on Phantom
« on: March 15, 2020, 05:55:15 PM »

Hi all,
So I bought a lovely phantom bat a month or two ago now and decided to pick up the rest of the kit as I'd heard pretty good things about the quality of it. A few concerns on here about the ownership but nothing against the gear. Anyway, I ordered some pads gloves a bag and a few grips, didnt hear anything about when my order would be delivered or anything like that for over a week. Emailed them and was told it would be there in a weeks time. That's fine, at least I know now. Take delivery for the package and they haven't sent the bag, it was seemingly forgotten about so I had to email back and enquire about that. The grips I ordered weren't the ones I recieved and the thumb protection in the end of the gloves had come out of the glove when I unpackaged them. I know this isnt really a big deal but when you're paying prices like phantoms, you expect quality... can't help but feel a little dissapointed to be honest. Just curious to see what you guys think? Do you reckon I'm being unreasonable?

No. You pay good money, you should expect good service. These screw ups really suck! A friend and I had a big one with a vendor and I basically stopped dealing with them.

Unfortunately, mail-ordering cricket gear is not without risk. I now get all my gear thru friends who are traveling and it works well.

Hi Goldie110,

This is Aftab from Phantom Cricket. As a relatively small brand, we sometimes face difficulties with the speed of deliveries from our suppliers. This particular year we have also had to contend with freight carriers taking unannounced, alternative (longer) routes due to restrictions which have resulted from the corona virus pandemic. This is not intended to be an excuse; merely an attempt to explain the delay which is often unexpected.

Whilst we included free item(s) to thank you for your patience, I would like to offer my apologies for the short delay once again.

In reference to the gloves, perhaps it has been misunderstood however your email suggested you have used the gloves, after which the small sponge in the thumb cup had come loose?

If the gloves are unused, I would be happy to exchange them for you. Alternatively, as explained on email, the sponge easily pops back into the thumb thimble. Happy to discuss a suitable alternative.

Unfortunately those particular grips were not in stock at the time of ordering. If you would like to get in touch with regards to these or any other issues, I would be more than happy to resolve them to your satisfaction.

Thank you.
