New pad recommendations
« on: March 18, 2020, 04:06:37 PM »

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some new batting pads? I currently have Adidas XT 1.0 pads that I've had for 2 full seasons now and although they are extremely comfortable as they have moulded so well around my legs, because of this they haven't got the protection they used as i found on Monday evening when i was wrapped by the sidearm.

Ideally i'm looking for decent protection (75mph bowling tops) without them being too bulky?

Thanks in advance.

Of your budget is the same as the 1.xt then buy the GN legends.
The 1xt pads are basically the same as the top of the range ss pads, so similar to almost every pad on the market protection wise.

Aero P1 leg guards. Lightest pads on the market for a cool price of USD 65 and less than GBP 60.

I like GN legends so much that I have two pairs of them. I highly recommend them.

Legends thirded, best pads I’ve used by a distance. Be aware they come up a bit small though. I’m 6’2 and needed large men’s for the first time ever

I have always wondered if Legends are really worth the £100+ price tag??

Another recommendation for GN legends.  By far the best pads I have worn in almost 25 years of playing senior cricket

What makes the legends so good? They look pretty generic in design but I haven't used them, so interested to know.

I've got a few of the all-white version in stock still or the green and white too.

I used the top of the range M&H pads last year (S100) and they were pretty darn good. Ridiculously light too. This season I’m using the GM Original LE, and they might be the best pads I’ve ever used. They fit like a glove.
