Chase Pads - R7
« on: March 30, 2020, 07:42:38 AM »

Has anyone used these before and got any feedback? Having a look for a new pair of pads and love the look of these but don't know anyone who has had them recently!

Also, if anyone has a pair about the house, would appreciate if you can measure the length of the straps.

Cheers!

I've got a set of black ones, they're decent pads. By no means top end - if things like well padded straps are important to you they're not for you, but they're pretty comfy once worn in and protection is good, they feel good quality too. Great value for money. Got them out and the longest strap is approx 40cm.

I had a pair of white ones from 2018 I think that I sold on. They are on the small side I would say. Really classy moulded appearance, I really wanted them to work, but settled on some extra large Pumas instead.

Small in terms of the length of the actual pad or the straps?

Moulded? Are you sure yours are r7s? Also wouldn't say mine are small on me, and I'm 6'3".

They were small in length. I'll check whether they were R7s

They were these :

Could have been the medium size, they were unmarked. Look identical to the 2020 ones but with black on the inner

I had a pair of these for a couple of seasons. Looked good, felt light and offered more than enough protection for the standard I play. With hindsight, compared to the Pryzm signatures that replaced them, they were a a little short for me - I'm 5 ft 11 and my knees always ended up slightly above the middle of the slot they were meant to sit in. Also the straps were a couple of inches too long, particularly the top one.
