yep- didn't stand up and the main compartment wasn't that accessible

someone needs to bring the mother of all bags out, definitely a gap in the market here.....................

The legend bag would be the one if it stood up..........

I have the GN test holdall and would highly recommend it.  Huge bag and well organised.  May be a bit large for the needs of some people , but I always carry a lot of kit to games and have found it to be exactly what I need

i also think with this bag it will save me talking a separate bag for whites accessories etc like i do even with a big duffel

Yes, I used to carry a separate holdall with clothes, towel, shower bag food and drink in it.  Now I can chuck it all in one bag.  Having sections that you can put wet towels kit etc in is a big plus for me as well.

There is a balance between a bag with one big section where all your kit gets thrown together and you can never find what you need and ones with so many little pockets that they serve no function and don't get used.  I find this bag gets the balance pretty much bang on.

I have the GN Predator 3 1500 wheelie which is basically the same as the Test (in fact I think it's identical bar the colour).

Overall I love it - not having a separate pocket for whites/clothing is a bugbear of mine and it also has bat cave, helmet pocket and shoe pocket which are the other things I look for.

The only downsides are 1. it's a bit tall for my car boot so there is a bit of wedging that has to go on, and 2. it's so big that there is a temptation to load everything in and have 2 sets of pads, 3 bats, 5 pairs of gloves, full whites and training gear etc, which make it very heavy for use at training! I'm considering a medium duffle to use for training and then keep the wheelie so I'm organised for match days (yes I have enough kit to stock two bags...).

Edit: Another advantage of the predator 1500 is you can pick it up for £59.99 here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gray-Nicolls-Predator-3-1500-Wheelie-Cricket-Bag-RRP-120/283795424574?hash=item421386853e:g:DIkAAOSwWZVeVT-1

Let me know when you find said bag. I’ll stick to my original NB duffle for now... not that’s it’s gonna get much use this year

I've experimented with several duffle s and found that most are not suitable for CBF people who want to carry 3 out 4 bats plus full kit. The only one I can recommend so far is this GB bag I got from ebay, the one that was supposed to be Matt Prior's. It looks good, has padded interior bat pockets, huge side pockets for kit and pads, separate boot/helmet compartment and comfortable straps. Sadly Adidas don't seem to make an equivalent version for general sale at the moment...

I went with a.  QDOS bag from eBay for £30 which I think is the in house brand. From Somerset county sports. Duffle with 3 bat pockets that are padded, pad sections on the side, shoe section, large main section, valuables section and 2 other decent sized pockets and stands up fine when loaded.
Overall very happy with it.

The other bags i have is a large Aero coffin on wheels that must be 5 seasons old and its still in great condition so those two and a Surridge wheelie the Test version. Its massive and holds all batting, keeping kit, lid, whites and 4 bats and still has room. Loads of external pockets as well for wash bag, sun glasses, grips so would recommend all 3 depending of you want a wheelie or duffle.

Ive got the qdos bag myself as the store in Torbay is 5 mins away. I cant get pads in the side pockets though. I'd possibly get wk pads in but definitely not my batting pads. It is a great bag otherwise though

GM 707 duffel bag is good. Doesn't have wheels and no pocket for valuables.

The top aero stand up bag is one of the most organized bags out there. Truly phenomenal as long as you have enough space in your car and don’t care about having a duffle. I use it in my nets now as my kit dries up a lot quicker than in a more cramped duffle.

It can be a pain to insert the side panels but it’s rock solid once you’re done. Here is a review:

I'm not sure on this year's offering but style and size wise I've always found an old B&S duffle (smaller one) is great for nets and the GN supernova great for games - couple of bats, batting gear and loads of clothes plus bowling boots etc fit fine (when I bought it I compared vs the legend bag and wondered how robust it would be with weight in it).

this bag formed the basis for most other brands that copied it, woodwork did almost an exact copy and NB do one too now. I had one along with the tour bag when we were with adidas and they were good but didn't stand up very well. I used a similar model for my own but with a separate bat section at the rear so that you don't have to worry about wedging bats back into the main section if its full of kit.

The GN duffles  are by far the best design but the quality of mines isn’t where you’d hope it would be. GM have been the toughest wearing ones I’ve seen but they just are set out as well. At least not for what I want.

Yes, separate bat section is a good idea, and you're right, it doesn't stand up too well.
