What Dukes options are available? Like any manufacturer, they gave cheap balls that aren't great and excellent balls that are the best on the market in my view

Those tiflex balls are the best I’ve used. They swing round corners and are very durable. I’ve got one I’ve netted with for a couple of years and it’s in great condition

Tried tiflex off eBay but not what I expected. Any other recommendations? What about Cicada and Hawk balls?

Have used Readers County Crown white and pink for our T20 games. They were of good quality

Our league did a trial last season of balls
We used balls from every make and price range And had to rate them blind, after games
Then at the season end, I was asked to cut the samples in half, as I’d complained for years about ball quality being used.
Out of over 60 balls from different suppliers, by far the best were the mid and top end tiflex balls.

Nothing and I mean nothing under 13 or 14 quid is going to be anything less than a bat breaker
If your really not sure, cut one in half.

There’s some decent money to be made selling balls that are well below acceptable standards and a lot out there willing to sell them

I too am looking for a decent quality ball for Sunday cricket, we've used Tiflex St James balls in the past, happy to give them a go again but hoping there's a suitable alternative available around the £10/£11 mark, appreciate I'm pushing that a bit.

Has anyone had any experience of the bottom of the range Readers, Dukes etc?

I used that ebay link to buy a couple of the Tiflex 2nds for a friendly match. And I can't fault them. The message with the package said there was a slight flaw in the dye and, I guess, its been double stamped to show its a reject from the quality process.

The balls lasted the 40 overs better than the league ball we use a damp outfield. For £10 each +£2p&p its good value.

We used one of these the other day for a T20, and believe it or not, it was absolutely fine.

I buy boxes of CA white balls that cost about USD 12-16/ball. Good for nets and practice games.

It was a while back but last time I checked (for buying CA gear) they didn't have a version of Paypal. Has that changed or how do you secure payment?
