If someone removes the 606 stickers and flips them and turns it into a 909 is there another way to tell its a 606? Saw a limited edition noir with 70% heartwood

The 909 sticker has a triangle that fits into the model name sticker they slot in to each other If that makes sense

If they have switched them then the triangle would be pointing toward the toe

That was just an example. Look at the picture. I highly doubt that is an LE. Its a genuine gm though

I would be very circumspect before I bought that GM. It is likely that someone has bought or made a fake LE sticker and stuck it on a 606 in the above image.
I am certain in fact that is a fake sticker as the genuine le stickers have wider gaps in the writing.

Exactly. But is there no other way to tell? Hidden barcode or markings on the binding etc?

Here is a closeup. Sticker is the right shape and looks fine. The story of the seller is that he had purchased a noir le which turned out to be storm damaged and this was sent to him by gm as a replacement.

Handle is the maker, and month I believe

Pretty sure Le sticker should be flush.

Also I’ve had signatures with this amount of grains and heartwood . Can’t for the life of me see Gm selling this as a LE

Sticker is totally flush on both my GM’s.

It’s certainly a genuine GM but I would find that hard to believe it’s a LE, it’s nothing like what they list on there website and tbh Iv not ever seen a 909 that’s the entry level G1 from GM with that much heartwood.

I would guess signature grade or possibly a 808 at best personally
