So,
Chris has made up 3 bats for me so far and each one has had good balance, pickup and a decent size for the weight. He's actually shared the pictures on here I think for all three so I won't repeat but for the price you just can't beat it by going to the bigger branded names.

The finish is as good as anything else (although I will admit that I really do only care about the performance so stickers, polish etc.. I really couldn't give a rats $�$%).

I've moved all 2 on out of the 3 as I only needed one as a net bat to save using any of my match ones and there are people within the club who whilst good players .. just can't justify the cost of cricket equipment and don't want to buy the cheap crap sold. They are chuffed with the bats.

Well done Chris. Good product at good prices and I love that people are looking to not just go with the business model of ripping people off just because you can.

Roehampton 1st XI keeper uses Northern Monkeys bat, can't see any other bat beating that bat's sound of the ball.
This tells the standard of high quality bat making these days.
When I came on this forum I can remember that many were talking about Scat, I didn't know which bat they're talking about.
Some while ago I saw one on ebay, in new condition, but low middle, I didn't fancy it...
One day, if I live for that long, I might get one TK, but not for �1000!

Cheers mate and thanks for the comment say and feedback. The quality and price is something I�m really keen on. I do honestly really champion the lower grades as I can honestly say that they perform in the main as good as anything else on the market that iv either owned and used over the years and I would say the pressing on the cleft seems I get is as good as anything from any other brand out there regardless of price point.

Just been over to pick up my new stick from Chris; over the moon with and frankly it�s probably wasted on me as a bat but the value for money on this butterfly is wuality! The finish and atttention to detail is second to none!
I will try sort some pics or get someone to do them for me if I ask nicely please

Grade 1 AM18 finished this evening, really happy with how this came out and a stunning cleft in every aspect. If you play in Surrey look out for this gun.

Hi @Alvaro on this shape yes it�s something that just happens when I maleness the duckbill toe shape, I call it a peacock toe as the shape resembles and peacock on bloom to me probably makes no sense to anyone�s else but before sanding when I use the spoke shaves that�s what�s it looks like to me.
I also have a more drip shoulder shape as well as I feel it gives a better feel in the hands and pick up and had no complaints so far so tjose are the the two unique traits I guess

A little update on recent activity

This is a 2 grade 2 AM18 profile off to a lad in Manchester weight is 2.12.5 and pretty much filled the bat gauge.

Had a lot of repairs and new bats to knock in and prepare as well this is the most recent of the bats with blown out toes and belongs to a forum member. This must be the 4th of 5th toe damaged bat this month and with exception of one none have had small toes in terms of specs. Think it�s a mix of not great balls and how hard players go after the ball these days.

Finally currently working on a copy of a special GN bat for a returning customer. This is in Butterfly grade grade I had has been really popular this season along with G3 bats. Making up about 70% of all bats making this year. So got some lovely G2 and G1 clefts at �199 and �269 respectively.

As always any feedback greatly appreciated.

This is the latest and third stock shape that I�ll now be offering with the arrival of my latest bundle of joy in mate July. Fir those that don�t know the model names are the initials of my children and years of birth so this will be the EH21.

Specs are a spine into toe profile with light to medium concaving, mid placed middle and traditional rounded face press with a rounded toe, modern large edges and the lightest pick up on the range I would say personally.
Currently getting and deciding on the new colour way for the stickers so will launch officially in the 2022 uk season but thought I would share on here.

Currently working on a duffle bag with all the bells and whistles that players want these days at a price point that�s fair and reasonable inline with the initial company concept.

Afternoon all.

Just a few pics to share what�s been going on over the last few months. The new EH21 shape (spine into toe has proved very popular since introducing this to by range with the arrival of my son in July.

Had a very successful second season as a small bat maker with my bats now in 14 separate counties by my calculations and sold all of the 30 clefts I ordered in March by the end of July and most of my winter top up order which is smaller that arrived two weeks ago.
In addition softs after a slow start have gone done well with some great feedback and some ideas from those that have used them on how I could improve on this in the future. Just deciding if I want to continue with softs as seems a slightly dodgy ground now with these safety standards that have been introduced.

If anyone is interested in one of the last few remaining clefts (all G3 that�s left at the moment) drop me a message on here or Instagram as they are at end of sale rate of �130 plus delivery. Please don�t ask or expect to get 40mm edges, full shapes at 2.8 though as more medium weight clefts left.

Out of interest, how long does it take to make a bat? Has it got much quicker over time? There must be a point at which it can't get any quicker, of course, but still. SO skillfull.

Thanks mate the finishing is something I�ve invested in over the last 6 months so pleased you commented on it.

Now it�s about 2.5-3 hours from start to finish which is due from 4-5 hours when I first started. Being comfortable with the hand tools is now a big advantage as well as confidence that people like the shapes I�m making as 80% of this years sales are to new customers so not club mates or ex club mates etc.

A few of the bats iv been busy with over the last month, Oct has been a very busy time with repairs and orders which has been really good on these miserable evenings.

Finished this one last week for my first international order off our to NSW Australia.

Shaped based off customers old bat that he sent pics and specs of. Finished at 2.9.9 thick oval handle, no scuff high spine, 33mm edges

This one is a Sub Grade and is available to purchase immediately. Small pressing crack on the rear of the bat fully glued and I don�t feel will have any negative impact. Mid/low middle based on a bat that belonged to Pujara of India. Full profile and weighs 2.12 with lovely pick up. Available for �135 plus postage.
