H4L Refurbs
« on: July 26, 2020, 07:30:25 PM »

Just wondering if anyone has had a refurb done by H4L on a H4L bat? Trying to figure out what the price would be for a full refurb and repair of a tiny crack on the toe but it's not entirely clear from their website.

https://www.h4l.co.uk/products/cricket-bat-repair-specialists-kent

Suggests £68.50 including return postage.
But I would give them a call tomorrow and ask, because that also seems to include a rehandle, which you aren't asking for...

Yeah that was what confused me. Seemed a lot for a refurb and gluing a toe crack.

They would spend more time on a refurb then making a bat. So they can charge what they want.

Yes the service is very good.

There are other 's available.

I'm not questioning the service they provide or the quality of their work by any means.

I'd picked up a secondhand H4L and it's a cracking bat so was hoping to get it restickered which is why "others available" doesn't really help.

I've got no problem paying skilled people to do a good job, just not convinced that £68.50 is the charge for the service I want.

I’m sure it won’t be that much for basic refurb, toe crack and re-sticker going rate seems to be about £30-£40 for that including return postage.

I’m happy to do the refurb and crack repair for far less but can’t help with the stickers element if you want H4L stickers but would happily put my own brands stickers on as hot some for refurbs only.

Thanks again to those who offered advice. Just have to say that the quality of the refurb and turnaround time from H4L has been pretty incredible. Bat was posted on the 31st of July and has just arrived back with me looking as good as new.
