Fair enough. I do wonder what the marketing reason was for adding the signature to the range though.
From a business point of view it’s probably the grade that has a mid range profit margin but can be sold in vast quantity and can use the largest proportion of the willow that GM get.
The other element I don’t like about GM is that they grade multiple times within grades.
They class the 909, original, OLE and players and Grade 1
They class the 808, 707 and signature as grade 2
And so on.
Personally with my own brand it’s just G1, G2 and G3 as that’s what I buy the willow as and I think it’s just confusing and a way to make more money from the club player.
