The Australian Kookaburra Bat Cave Instagram account posted this image a few days ago.

I saw one of the UK retailers comment on this post saying they are expecting some stock in February/March time. Can any of our forum sponsors confirm? Take my money if the answer is yes!

As per usual, the uk range is tame. No back stickers like that

I think Kookaburra UK has lost their way a little bit these days. When was the last time they produced a bat that had people really excited? The retro Bubble?

It's just changing the colour schemes and the labels slightly every year. I think they can do so much better

Each to their own but that looks like the styling you might see on a bat aimed at the kids market to me.

Would be interested to see some profile shots - with a name like 'beast' I would hope it is chunky.

**UPDATE**

just saw that grade 2 is a typo. they are grade 1

the Kookaburra bat maker Lachy Dinger commented on Cricket World Moorabbin's Facebook post saying it is a mistake

That is still £500 though? Pretty sure you can get a lot of kit including a grade 1 bat for that type of money!

The nostalgia is there, but the beast has not aged well as it is a bit too 2000's in your face in style. Wish they'd do a rerun of the Genesis or Diablo instead.

no its a bit different than GN i believe

They have Lachy Dinger in the Kookaburra Bat Cave making Players bats and doing some customs. Customs are about $1400 AUD. not a bad follow on instagram

They get the rest of their bats made in India from what i know but if you buy their top of the line bats, they have a little Kooka Bat Cave hologram sticker on the bat and in the image in the online store, Lachy will hand pick your bat depending on what you are after

they are going in the right direction and hopefully soon they will be more like the GN set up making more bats in Oz

the ridgeback was a a great retro, not as nice as bubble but the beast does look a bit more like a kids bad the more i look at it.

a diablo would be ideal, but i would guess the profile was pretty close to the current ghost
