Pakistan vs South Africa - on sky sports
« on: January 25, 2021, 01:08:45 PM »

Pakistan signed a 3 year deal with sky sports, 11 years after the ball tampering situation. Good to see sky finally seeing sense.
Starts tomorrow. Pakistan will hammer South Africa.

South Africa are truly pathetic against spin. Tiny amount of day 1 spin in Karachi and they are bundled out for 220.

decent bowling effort from pakistan after losing the toss

now its all about whether their fragile batting lineup can take advantage and post a competitive score

Odd decision to send in Shaheen to face Nortje’s rockets. South Africa probably just ahead considering Babar is one of the four wickets they bagged.

Two flawed teams - should make for fantastic (and unpredictable) Test cricket !

Seems like Pakistan is not faring any better - 34 for 4?

Fawad Alam brings up 3rd Test hundred. Imagine what career he could’ve achieved if he was given more opportunities during his 10 year exile.

^ Good knock.

Better late than never. Top teams are "top" because of their ability to spot and nurture great talent.

Would he have developed such a unique technique that has brought him success recently without his exile from international cricket? Interesting thought though.

During his absence from the Test side he averaged over 55 in Pakistan’s red ball competition like for 9 of the last 10 years. And he used to bat with a more ‘normal’ stance.
This chap can play and it’s sad he was frozen out for so long.

"Coaching" can be the end of natural talent.

Pakistan ended up with a lead of 158 runs. Their tail managed to add 83 vital runs.
South Africa 150-1 with Markram and RvdD on fifties. Babar dropped Markram when he was on 30 odd.
Aside from Rabada, the other seamers haven’t really been able to stem the flow of runs.
