Stirling definitely is, but wouldn't have been if he'd been prepared to give up his international career in the same way that Tim Murtagh did.

Yeah, think that's a further clause in the eligibility rules that you're excluded if you're playing for a full member country.

Garton's action is mesmerising in the same way that watching snakes strike in slow motion is. Just seems to defy physics.

This is why he spends so much time injured. I am in Sussex (not a native) and how he generates the pace he does is astonishing .

As a currently disappointed Kent fan, Crawley is batting himself out of a place in the next squad!

Perhaps we should count ourselves lucky that England players are playing enough county cricket to have their form properly asseessed?

True, its good to see them involved and no excuses of very damp green seamers everywhere

The Yorkshire and Northants match was great. And not just because Northants had a line-up of bat brands that read like: Adidas; Millichamp and Hall; Hunts County; Kookaburra; Newbery; Hell 4 Leather; BAS; Keeley (x2);  Unknown (Simon Kerrigan, anyone?); and CA.

Poor old Kerrigan. Bowls like Bess, but without the luck.

He's bowled very well this season.

But I did say earlier that others had actually made a career out of bowling a few overs of filth for England. (Rather than having one ruined by it.)

You'd rather we didn't have England internationals playing county championship cricket?

I'd rather the England internationals who had chosen not to play in County Champoinship didn't now play in those same matches as their second choice. Yes. 100%. Quite a few Surrey members seem to feel the same way.
