No game for me as my other half had a notification via test and trace to self-isolate for 7 days after a positive case at a restaurant we went to.

Hey ho!

2 losses this weekend.

Personally got 40-odd chasing 200 on Saturday, we didn’t get it. Bowled 6 overs too so I was dead (at the death, had a dolly dropped off my first ball too) Managed to throw up halfway through my innings also. Good day all round!

Today we were going very well with our two 15 year olds putting on 90 off 15 overs. We then collapsed as our former skipper who is injured came down to umpire and gave 4 of us out LBW. I am a left hander and the left armer was bowling around the wicket to me and I got triggered for a 2-ball duck 🤦🏻 We set 190 and they got it very easily

Went into bat at 7, score on 176-6 in 29 overs. Ended the innings on 224 for 6 in 40 overs. A partnership of 48 runs, in which I scored only 6 runs! faced 15-16 deliveries.
Got the ball 10 overs left in oppos innings, they needed 6 runs per over, with 3 wickets remaining. Their batsman was batting on 92.
First ball stock off break, second ball flighted, next 2 deliveries off break, 5 straight one, he played as an off break, Top edge to cover. 2 more wickets in next 7 deliveries! Win the match by 50 runs!
Felt good !

Lost again yesterday. Didn't put enough runs on the board against a very very good bowling attack, containing a couple of guys who have played alot higher up. I got 11, missing a full toss right in front, really bad but these things happen. Just annoying as I was playing decent against the 2 opening bowlers. We posted 176-9, about 50 short on that wicket, but we were 29-3 off 10, so did well to get that.

We bowled really well but dropped 4 catches, so that was disappointing as you will never defend that under par target doing that. Oppo got it 3 down with 6.4 overs left.

The interesting thing about the game though was it was the 1st match I have been part of that was Live Steamed. It was a really great set up at the oppos appartently cost £1600 to set up, camera at one end on the sight screen with a really clear picture. I hate seeing myself bat, but noticed a few things to definitely have a think about for the rest of the season.

£1600 for one camera.. Jesus that’s expensive.

Ca,era each end, one pavilion one and all the kit to make it work for that and still have plenty of change

Nice game Saturday in decent spirit and some nice weather for a change.

We chased down 194 in 38 overs 5 down.  I was out LBW for 5 but highlight for me was opening the bowling with my eldest son who's 14.....kind of stuff you always dream about doing. No wickets for either of us but 7 overs each going for less than three an over.  Now just need to get my youngest in the side.

We have spent just short of that but spent £1000 of it on a laptop that can handle streaming and video capture simultaneously. Live Stream and then a 5 minutes highlights package was uploaded within half an hour of us being finished.
Next steps is improved audio and maybe even some commentary to the highlights.

Stood up to everything except the first over today. Then got a first baller. Love cricket.

Didn’t realise you were on the forum! Been following the WK account for a little while now, some helpful stuff on there for a relatively new keeper  @Sivlar13

Very annoying day.

Skipper took a call from their team at about 11:30, saying they weren’t keen to travel from London to Oxfordshire because the weather forecast was a bit grim. Match was called off, much to our frustration.

We all ended up sitting in a pub garden from 2pm until 10:30pm, and it didn’t rain at all! First time I have ever known of a match being called off due to a weather forecast, rather than actual bad weather. Pathetic from the away side.

Satisfying win Saturday, we had a very young side due to availability being a bit short but they played exceptionally well. Ended up bowling out the oppo for 145 and chased it 5 down - sitting 4th in the table now so in a very good position for our first year in Div 2. Today I am a happy skipper.

Isnt it technically impossible to go in at no.7 when the team are 6 down?? :D

I felt your frustration when I read it! I was on the way to the ground, here rain started just after the match was finished.
