I would be surprised were there not to be en exemption for those coming here over the summer to play international cricket.

Elite sportspeople have had the run of the UK during all but the strictest of the lockdowns so don't see this being any different.

I am not sure it is quite like that.  The price paid for last summer's International summer was the biosecure bubbles.  Lock down was tough but I was at least able to see my immediate family in a way that a lot of professional athletes were not.

There are cases like this where the ability to play professional sport has come at a heavy cost to family life

India still planning to arrive in UK on May 31 according to what I read. They’ll do that one off test with New Zealand. Then they stay in uk until the start of the 5 test series.

India should be banned from touring until they have their COVID numbers under control. They should also be punished for the idiocy they showed during the recent ODI series, when they went from playing behind closed doors to allowing 50,000 unmasked supporters in to the stadiums during a pandemic. Typical arrogance shown by the BCCI.

Suspect that had more to do with the Indian government than the BCCI, pure populism to keep people on side with the ruling party.

You'd assume they would quarantine and be tested before setting a single foot near a stadium. In Truth though the ECB should cancel it.

This actually happened?

It'd be a shame if tourneys have to be cancelled.

Should really be cancelled. Sport isn't above the nation but money will talk.. although, tbf... as long as the bubbles are done properly and not just pandered too then there is no reason why not
