I'd love for NZ to play 5 match series. It's a travesty that Kane Williamson doesn't get to play as much as the likes of Kohli, Smith, Root.
You say that we play Minnows but it seems the Big 3 refuse to play them. We don't want to keep playing Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangaladesh and WI every other year. We have no problem playing them but it seems we either have them touring us or we tour there every year. We can only play who ICC schedule us to play.
We Beat India, England, Australia (In White ball Cricket) all the time. However for NZ to truly be the number 1 test side I believe we need to beat India in India and Australia in Australia otherwise like you've seen on Social media and here people still look down on us.
Anyway, I couldn't be prouder to be a Kiwi right now.
There are not too many teams that would beat India in India, the fact that India beat Australia in OZ and NZ have consistently had good results meant I think the best two in the world were the right two in the final.
Historically, teams, and England in particular have given NZ one test, or two tests and save the main games for the ones that make the most money.
It will be interesting to see now if NZ start to get longer series to play, putting a spanner in the works of the big 3.
Modern day cricket is more about money than ever, overseas want England to come, the administrators here want maximum revenue and packed out grounds.
From purely a fan point of view I hope it changes things a bit. India,England and Australia constantly is a bit boring.
