New Bat Required
« on: June 23, 2021, 07:03:08 PM »

Evening all,

In the market for a new bat - no brand affinity here!

Currently use circa 2lb 9. Have an absolute belting Newbury Kudos which is light, full, and with big edges - not sure how I got my hands on it! Also have a Keeley Worx G3 which simply responded lovely. Unfortunately both are now past their best!

I begrudge paying an extortinate amount of money for a name - seeing Kookaburras and GMs at £500 is just ridiculous. Chase seem to be good value for money.

Forgot to mention... also do prefer a higher middle as I'm a smidge over 5ft 9!

Ideally wanting to be no more than the £2-300 mark! Any suggestions welcomed!

P.s. Glad the forum is still going... not been on for ages as I kept getting met with a wacky advert and redirected to some spam!

There's a nice 2lb 9 Keeley Worx G3 in the For Sale section?

I’ll second this, though I may be a bit biased

I am in India still and can pick something for you or get something custom made to your requirements. For your budget you will get some best bats.
I do have access to Some Manufacturers/factories so can choose.

I put out a similar request on here...  Jonny from Scott cricket got in touch and made me an absolute belter, to my chosen spec.  Ive been meaning to do a review but cant find the time!  I bought a bat and he's refurbished some others I have - great bloke and the quality is better (IMO) than some other brands, charging double.  Couldn't recommend highly enough.  Cheers

Yes, I agree to get in touch with one of batmaker of your choice on this forum. Soulman, Johnny, Northern Monkey, Red and Leachy, they all are making very high quality bats.
