Woakes rested. It beggars belief and to hammer it in T Curran plays instead.

It’s absolute village

Not as village as burning your reviews for two plumb ones after two overs

Why would you choose to bowl first against a team unlikely to pass 200?

For the sake of the crowd is all I can think of at the moment.
We know they have had 3 sent home for COVID breaches but this is as weak a side as I can recall seeing.
Arthur could be on homework plus detention after this game for them

If you want to win, it's EXACTLY what you do. What you don't do is bat first and risk getting out for a low score and giving them a sniff.. Only amateur teams do that as they are... well.... amateur and so dumb

You've got a posh setup at your village club if you've DRS.

Aye, camera and everything.

Sam Curran bouncing people out both pleases and amuses me

I disagree. It's a meaningless game against a poor side, so why not get the batsmen to work on getting a big score. Morgan often says he wants pressure on his team in this sort of game, as that's where you learn and progress as a team.

Win the series and then experiment with how you go about putting pressure on your team.

As was pointed out on TMS earlier, England have struggled lately with chasing middling scores. Seems Morgan wants his team to work on that aspect of their ODI cricket.

Doesn't cost as much as you think for a billy basic DRS :)

Tom Curran adds zero to this England side. Worse than Dernbach.
