Really good from Salt, he’s been peppering the boundary.

Pretty embarrassing getting skittled by a dibbly dobber like Hassan Ali. He’s no more than buffet bowling.

Brilliant batting from Gregory and Carse, feel like anything around 250 and you're in the game

With the conditions I think we will have enough at just under 250. mahmood and carse have been impressive, plus Gregory.
Overton looks exactly the same as last time to me, can’t see any big improvement.

I think having to pick a new squad has been great. Hopefully England will now have more faith in some other players. Just how Tom Curran gets in ahead of Mahmood is laughable.

Wasn't Mahmood injured when the original squad was announced?

He's improved on the last time he played on the 2 games seen. 1-11 need to be able to bat but with Archer and Stone out injured, Broad and Anderson probably not playing together there may be other chances coming up.

England I think will make a few changes for the last game, maybe Jacks and Duckett.
On another note Simpson the journeyman keeper was excellent yesterday and even if he does not play again has some great memories of Lords.
Fantastic.

Agree, was nice to see Simpson making the most of his chance and brilliant for him to have such good memories of his England caps.

Can you be a journeyman if you play a dozen years for the same club?

Same team again. Already bored of this 'there's points at stake' narrative that stops giving players an opportunity

difficult balance isn't it - they have done well, and the lads being left out might reasonably argue they also want the opportunity, but there wouldn't have been any harm in making two, maybe even three changes just to see someone else.

This Brydon Carse looks like someone whom could force his way into the full time odi side.
