England v Pakistan ODI Series
« on: July 06, 2021, 09:14:18 AM »

Excellent chance to try some new players, given the entire current squad needs to self-isolate!

Who wants a game for England on Thursday? Keen to see Crawley and AJ bat together.

Is this how Alex Hales gets his recall? Ah.

From a Surrey perspective I'll be happy if Jacks gets called up, but this is a disaster for the counties with the current round of Championship games and subsequent domestic fixtures...

The way things are going, wonder if there will be a completely new team for the second match in the series too?

Monty suggesting on Twitter we pick some science geek called Alex Hale, a bloke called Chris Parkinson and SA born New Zealand international Glenn Phillips.

Is it a whole new squad I wonder, we do have a large set up but 11 new players will be a challenge.

I guess they cannot pick anyone currently in a CC game-or can they just pull them out?

Difficult times but not totally unexpected

Can pull them out. So will be interesting to see who doesn’t take the field today.

Stokes, Hain, Duckett, Vince, Mahmood, Parkinson all surely nailed on.

It’s a completely brand new squad, players can and will get pulled out of CC games, Stokes has already left the Durham squad. Issues for Durham who are already down to the bare bones because of isolation and the 2s are at Beckenham. If another player (Carse probably) gets called up they’ll be snookered

They aren't picking him at his age ahead of a test series

Sam Hain will finally get to play for England!!!

Apparently not.
Staggered I didn't get a call to be honest.
Also no Stevo or Hales.

This is the end for Hales.

Genuinely shocked by this. He averages 59.79 from 56 One day innings
