Few RS bats
« on: July 08, 2021, 03:34:50 PM »

As I am India now and have plenty of time on my hands I am just enjoying visiting cricket shops.
I have access to NB GN factory to name some big boys But Robinson is the name I trust so picked up few for me and team mates.
I let pics do talking now or I be here forever writing about all things cricket around me at moment.

Nice! Can you help source a bat from them?

Do Robinsons do any bats in funky shapes any more?

Think they'll do a custom shape for pretty reasonable prices.

yeah they are very good at custom made talking with my own experience.
I had full tour of factory had access to all clefts to chose from.
The bat in first photo was my original choice but I damaged toe while playing in. They replaced it free of cost with another bat even though it was my own fault.

These grade 2/3, sorry but I don't see anything special about these custom made bats.

On the one photo we've got of the full bat face - 8 pretty straight grains, very few blemishes. I don't think that's a grade 3.

Equally, I'm not sure he said there was anything massively special?

I use a Robinson bat at the minute as good as any bat I have used now and in the past decent weight and size 2/8 goes very well solid made and very well pressed.  They are well finished too good product at a very good price

Agree, I have an RS and it's simply stunning, both with looks and performance.

I accept that these photos are not great. Bat in 1st and 2nd photo is same and is Shane Watson shape. Surinder chose this bat for me and said ignore the grains but trust me it has great performance.  I went with that and it was a great bat but I damaged its toe and was replaced free of cost with another bat in last photo that is dhoni shape. Even though it was my own fault.
I don't weigh bats anymore so don't ask me about weight as I don't know. Purely go for feels these days. I ask RS for a well balanced bat regardless of weight I trust them on this and they delivered everytime.
3rd photo is bat for a teammate who asked for low middle but light weight. it looks big but feels balanced and light so he be happy with it for sure.
Bat in 5th photo is again Dhoni shape and on heavier side as the owner is a strong lad and likes heavy bats.
I am going for performance here so grade are irrelevant for me and it depends on your budget.
I spent few hours in office with Surinder came to know about their history learnt few other things regarding bats pads gloves etc. He gave me good deal on my personal bats, custom made pads (black inside white outside).
