Think I'm done now (wallet certainly is) after a recent trip to Ashburnham.

That's a proper set of kit there. Very jealous of anyone who's close enough to go visit a batmaker but especially when they come away with kit like that.

Thanks, it was a great visit and lucky that the Keeley family allow people to come to the workshop, rather than just sell through retail outlets. Particularly so, given that some low life scumbag stole a bat while visiting a few days before my trip.

Turns out there were slightly more bats in the “owned by the kids” pile than I expected

Saw that on their socials, sounds like they've got the guy and his license plate on CCTV so hopefully will all get resolved.

One of those trips that's on the cricket badger bucket list!

Here is the 2022 kit, same is 2021 with a new cleft picked out ready to be shaped up when I get time in between customers orders and day job and family.

Really impressed with the softs, especially the gloves as stood up really well from last season and will certainly do me the first half of this season which I can’t remember the last set that I was able to do that with.

Got one or two others that I bet with on occasion but this will be the match kit for the coming season.

Yes the Garrard gloves replaced some Chase FLC ones and have been really good so far. Great quality.

I've seen them sell some butterfly bats through social media but didn't look for any when I was there. Before visiting, I would suggest sending an email asking about butterfly stock to avoid any disappointment.

Thanks, I asked that question when I saw it in a different colour scheme.  Apparently they get small size orders in and see how they sell before deciding to release into their product line-up or not. This one has pro division (which I'm certainly not) printed on the front, so imagine their sponsored players also help develop/test products.  I will try do a review next week on it, as I'm really pleased with it.

Nice! What are those pads? Look like they might be Phantoms?

Yes, spot on. Phantom Limited from a few years ago, the 8 cane protection has been faultless.

My bats for the season, it will probably be the 2 DSC's that go in the bag. Just waiting my new duffle then I'll post a full kit photo.

It's actually an Ibis not sure on the grade but its a big bat.

I went to see Hanif at eclipse all sports a few weeks ago with the intention of picking up a MRF wizard. I ended coming away with his bat from last season 😂
