New Pads and Gloves combo recommendations....

Hi all,

I am looking at a new pads and gloves combo for this season, the issue I have is I am incredibly (and admittedly too picky) when it comes to softs.

Budget total for both is max £120
Brand not too fussed but mustn't be too colourful

Pads requirements -
Padded straps
Padded buckles if possible
Not flat fronts.
Not squeaky!

Gloves requirements -
Splits not sausage
Pittards, preferably the off white diamond
Need to be available in small mens/Indian mens

Any recommendations from previous experiences would be much appreciated.

Slightly out of budget (~£130 with the forum discount) but the Neon Cricket soft sizing in small mens is excellent and they've released a slightly more budget range of softs this year that will meet your criteria nicely.

All very classy look to it as well and they're a great company to deal with.

I strongly recommend ayrtek softs if they are in budget? I bought mine 3 seasons ago and still really impressed with them

Worth looking for Youth sizes too, as they tend to be sized like small mens.

I can recommend Garrard youth gloves, as they replaced some some small mens Chase FLC gloves. Been really happy with them, unfortunately the leg pads have the flat fronts and like you, I'm not keen on that so didn't go for them to match.

Garrard gloves are really nice, used a pair last season and they were very comfortable.

Does anyone know if the Garrard Youth pads come up in a Small Mens size similar to the gloves? Trying to find some pads for one of the young lads at our club.
