@Jimbo
If you've a look on ebay, you'll find out that there are grade 1 bats with specks, so that's not the defying factor that a bat isn't grade 1.
And I couldn't find anywhere which stated its being grade 2, it's you who's making it for grade 2. Your starting auction was low for a bat of that quality regardless what grade that was.
Specks don't have any negative effect on a bat performance.

I stated, very clearly, in my listing that it was a grade 2, as graded by the manufacturer and previous seller. You are the only person who has chosen to claim it was a grade 1 in order to inflate the price and/or increase the chance of a sale.

Yes, the eBay auction price was low because I don't believe in massively inflating the price of cricket bats I am selling to try and con people out of their hard earned.

Jimbo is being quite clear that it is a grade 2, all you had to do is put in the listing description "the manufacturer graded this as a grade 2, however in my opinion it looks closer to a grade 1."

Instead, you are creating a silly argument.

It’s good that threads like this exists, upgrading a bat to a 1 is the oldest con in the book on EBay so the more it’s highlighted the better.

Jimbo has followed the manufacturer which is the honest thing to do.
 Anything else is done to get the unsuspecting to pay more.

As I've said before I didn't find any information on Bellingham and Smith website or on their Facebook account, what these bats grading is.
@Jimbo
If you could provide me the evidence of this bat being grade 2, then I'll place my apologies on here, thanks

You bought the bat as a clearly labelled grade 2 and then deliberately flogged it as a grade 1 to inflate the price.

I assume this thread will follow the usual pattern when you are called out. You’ll conveniently ignore all the well made points, then you’ll deliberately misinterpret someone’s point so you don’t have to answer the questions asked and finally you’ll have a strop and start claiming everyone is ganging up on you.

Like many others I’ve been using the ignore user feature, however your rambling threads always appear on the recent post list.

From the JS Wright's website (the merchant that provide the willow to Bellingham and Smith). Grade 1 blades will have a minimum of 6 grains and the "playing area should be clean". A bat with heavy specks should not be graded as a G1. You know this, you're quite simply just a liar that seeks to inflate the price of his listings. You are no better than people that sell fakes and other such rubbish on eBay.

Bought from @t2ylo who I've only ever known to be scrupulously honest with his bat sales.

With all the respect I've for T2ylo,
You said as graded by manufacturer, but you didn't show evidence that it's graded 2 by B&S.

Didn't expect such harsh words from you and others in here, as I rated you all higher!

Pretty sure Leachy has shown that it sure as hell wasn't a G1 though as you've admitted the face was not clean. Just own up and apologise.

The seller (me) did not agree to anything?

I sold it as a grade 2 because that is what B&S graded and sold it as.

I can only speculate about why you would have (falsely) claimed it was a grade 1 bat but I imagine you did so in order to massively inflate the price you were selling it for.

To me this is hugely dishonest and I struggle to believe that you don't also realise this.
@Jimbo, it's you who should be apologising!
Read your own words again! You are not able to provide any being proof of this bat being graded 2 by it's manufacturer; B&S!

Are you able to provide proof it was graded a G1? Ah wait, by any industry standard it cannot be a grade one.

I'm not engaging with this any further because you are clearly unwilling to accept what you have done is dishonest and wrong.

I accept my mistake and apologise for not including in it's listing that 'it might be a misgrading'.
